It’s been a minute. To think, I just spent a whole month in Spain! Trust me when I say I was enjoying every moment. I have quite a few things to share. Some days were vacation days, which were meant strictly for relaxing and soaking up the summer sun, and others were jam-packed with adventure. It was a month filled with excitement. So much to share it’s hard to know where to begin. Let’s start with the itinerary.

1 week spent in Nerja with
➡️ Day trip to Frigiliana
➡️ Day trip to Granada
➡️ Bullet train to Madrid
1 week spent in Madrid
➡️Day trip to Toledo
➡️ Train to Santiago de Compostela
1 week spent in Santiago
➡️ Return flight to Nerja
Final week in Spain
This was my first international trip besides one weekend in Canada, and I can genuinely say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Yes, it was because I traveled to a beautiful country with so much culture, but what really put this at the top were the people I was with and the people I met along the way. I have been truly blessed to be accompanied by great people willing to share the ins and outs of Spain.
So, why did I go to Spain? I got to tag along as Gabe, and his family visited their family there. Due to the pandemic, it’s been a long time since they’ve visited, and it was so special to see them reconnected after such a long time.
Thank you to Gabe and his family for sharing a piece of their home and family with me. This trip will hold a special place in my heart.
So…. Camino de Santiago in 2027?
